About The Position
Amentum is seeking a seasonal Lifeguard located in the Williamsburg area of Virginia. The Lifeguard monitors activities at swimming pool to prevent accidents.
Requirements
- 16 years of age or older.
- Completion of lifeguard training.
- 1+ months related experience.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in interacting with people of various ages from diverse backgrounds.
- Available to work shifts.
- Physically fit, strong, agile, and dexterous.
- Have current access to site, base resident or have active government issued clearance at time of application
Nice To Haves
- AED certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance to swimmers
- Maintains order in pool and pool areas
- Rescues swimmers in danger of drowning
- Administers first aid
- Inspects facilities for cleanliness
- Cleans pool and pool areas including bathhouse
- Determines chlorine content and pH value of water using water testing kit, and records reading.
- Check-in and out items such as towels and personal items
- Conduct or officiate at swimming meets
- Give swimming instructions
