Lifeguard - Full-Time
About The Position
The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking safety-focused, full-time Professional Lifeguards to ensure the safety of members and program participants at our Chickahominy, Shady Grove, Patrick Henry, and Powhatan locations. The Lifeguard will relate to members in a professional and courteous manner; oversee the safety, cleanliness, and order of lap pools, family pools, and surrounding areas; and assist with the maintenance and upkeep of pool equipment. The Lifeguard will be trained in and knowledgeable about emergency procedures set forth by the YMCA of Greater Richmond, follow all procedures, and record and report all accidents and incidents to Director. The Lifeguard serves as a role model for part-time aquatics staff and may assist with training other employees. This position requires 35 hours of direct service guarding.
Requirements

- Ability to tread-water for 2-minutes

- Flexible and able to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Current CPR-Pro certification
- Current AED certification
- Current First Aid certification
- Current YMCA/Red Cross/Ellis lifeguard certification
- Must hold O2 certification or obtain it within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities
