About The Position
Epping Forest Yacht & Country Club is seeking a Lifeguard to join their team. This is a seasonal position with approximately 25 hours per week, offering a variable schedule including mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays. The role involves ensuring the safety of patrons in and around the pool and ocean areas.
Requirements
- Must have current pool lifeguard certification.
- Must be CPR/AED certified.
- Able to work independently.
- Able to be on your feet for long periods of time.
- Excellent people skills.
- Must meet or exceed the team expectations.
- Must pass a substance test.
Responsibilities
- Identify potential accident hazards and prevent accidents (risk management).
- Enforce all ocean/pool rules in a consistent manner.
- Handle discipline situations with courtesy and fairness.
- Respond quickly, intelligently, decisively and in accordance with established emergency and accident management procedures.
- Administer first aid and CPR as required.
- Communicate with other lifeguards and supervisors.
- Facilitate public relations with a positive and professional attitude, courtesy and tact.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
- Attend all training as required.
