About The Position
The Franklin YMCA is looking for enthusiastic Lifeguards to join their Aquatics Team. This role is responsible for keeping pools safe, having fun while working, and making an impact. The position involves creating a safe, risk-free environment for all swimmers, enforcing pool rules, building relationships with members, and maintaining a clean and safe swimming area.
Requirements
- Minimum Age: 16
- Ability to swim at an intermediate level (check out our Prerequisite Skills Evaluation)
Nice To Haves
- No lifeguarding experience? No worries! We’ll provide all required training and certifications, including the American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification.
Responsibilities
- Create a safe, risk-free environment for all swimmers.
- Enforce pool rules (politely but firmly).
- Build relationships with members while ensuring they enjoy their time in the water.
- Maintain a clean and safe swimming area.
