About The Position

SafeSplash is seeking a dedicated Lifeguard to oversee the safety of employees and customers and help maintain a safe environment for students, parents, and staff. The Lifeguard reports to School Leadership and plays a role in delivering a safe, positive experience for swimmers. The position requires at least 10 hours per week; seasonality may affect hours. Weekday, weeknight, and weekend availability is required, and the work is on-site.

Requirements

Lifeguard certification is required and must be maintained throughout employment; training is available.
Current CPR-PR, First Aid, and AED certifications are required within 30 days of hire and must be maintained; training is available.
Learn the curriculum, including all safety aspects, within 30 days of employment.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Comfort working around water and interacting with children and parents.
Ability to lift and push up to 50 pounds and remain on one's feet for long periods.

Responsibilities

Maintain constant surveillance to ensure customer safety and report unsafe activities, equipment, or instruction to management.
Provide instructors with immediate feedback when they are outside curriculum safety requirements, including safety distances and holds.
Act immediately and appropriately to secure customer safety during emergencies.
Provide emergency care and treatment as required until emergency medical services arrive.
Prepare appropriate incident reports.
Maintain a professional and engaging attitude.
Attend monthly in-services to continue developing lifeguarding skills.
Deliver a world-class experience by ensuring a safe environment for swimmers.
