The City of Fresno PARCS Department is hiring lifeguards who are excited, motivated, and ready to make a difference. This role offers an opportunity to build leadership skills, work with a great team, meet new people, and help create a safe and positive summer for kids in our community. The PARCS department is gearing up for summer activities in AQUATICS. To be assigned to a pool as a lifeguard, applicants will be required to pass the Lifeguarding Certification Course which includes CPR and First Aid, provided by the Red Cross. This course will be provided by the City of Fresno for applicants after completion of the hiring process. Under supervision, lifeguards closely monitor pool area activities and swimmer safety; resuscitate and administer first-aid and CPR to swimmers and determine if medical care is necessary and notify the appropriate agency; may instruct in swimming, and may assist with minor maintenance work in the pool area.
