About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lifeguard II to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong swimming skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to provide exceptional guest services. As a Lifeguard II, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of all pool patrons while maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
Requirements
- Current American Red Cross in Lifeguard certification.
- Current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification.
- CPR and First Aid certification required; additional certifications are a plus.
- Strong swimming skills with the ability to perform rescues effectively.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) as needed for maintenance tasks.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on guest services.
- Must be able to work flexible hours.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in pool maintenance and cleaning is preferred.
- Previous experience as a lifeguard or in a related role is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Monitor pool activities to ensure the safety of all Club members and staff.
- Enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe environment.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, providing first aid and CPR as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of the pool area, including water quality testing and equipment checks.
- Perform pool maintenance tasks, including cleaning and chemical reading.
- Assist in training and supervising junior lifeguards and staff members.
- Provide excellent guest services to parents by addressing inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Participate in regular safety drills and training sessions to stay current on emergency procedures.
