About The Position

TPC Southwind is seeking seasonal part-time Swim Staff to ensure guests and members receive immediate and courteous attention at the swimming pool. The Swim Staff is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the pool area, enforcing policies, and communicating safety information.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent education
Must be able to pass swim certification and any other required certifications for swim instructions as applicable
First Aid Certified and safety training certification required

Responsibilities

Ensure that all members and guests are greeted and welcomed in a professional and courteous manner and assure proper sign in procedures are followed
Issues or rents swimsuits, bathing caps, soap, towels, umbrellas, beach chairs, and similar items
Collects soiled towels and rented swimming attire for laundering
Folds and stores chairs, blankets, and umbrellas at close of operations
Maintain responsibility for the cleanliness and appearance of the pool area, entryways, and all storage and service areas.
Picks up rubbish along beach or near pool
Communicate emergency and safety information to members and guests in a calm, clear professional manner by telephone or two-way radio in a calm, clear professional manner
Cautions swimmers regarding unsafe areas.
Maintain and ensure that swim center policies and rules are followed throughout the facility.
Maintains order in swimming areas
Inspects all pool facilities for cleanliness, assists with preventative maintenance as required
Open and close the swim business operations and facilities using established standard operating procedures
Maintain all emergency equipment and procedures as established
Special projects or other duties as assigned
