About The Position

Under direct supervision, has responsibility to enforce the safety standards, rules and regulations of the City's aquatic programs; and performs related work as required. This role involves supervising recreation swimming, administering first aid and water safety techniques when required, and completing records and reports as necessary.

Requirements

• Some experience in aquatic programs.
• Knowledge of public swim programs and operations.
• Knowledge of communication skills and public relations.
• Knowledge of first aid methods and safety precautions to be used in recreational activities.
• Knowledge of record keeping methods.
• Knowledge of practices and techniques to achieve favorable public relations and appearance that project a positive image.
• Ability to administer a swim lesson program.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to be creative, reliable and to be a self-starter.
• Ability to think clearly, quickly and accurately.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships.
• Ability to complete assigned duties as required.
• Ability to maintain accurate financial and service records.
