About The Position

The Life Support Maintenance Manager Level III / Underwater Combat Dive Technologies System Manager Level III serves as a Key Personnel position supporting Naval Special Warfare Group Two (NSWG-2) Logistics Support Unit Two (LOGSU-2) Dive Department operations. This position is responsible for the maintenance, operational readiness, inventory accountability, training, and lifecycle management of combat diving systems, underwater propulsion systems, underwater navigation systems, communications equipment, remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), Diving Life Support Systems (DLSS), and associated support equipment.

Requirements

Navy Dive School Certified (NEC 5342 / M1DV, USCG OPSDC, or higher).
Minimum five (5) years of experience as a certified 5342 / M1DV, USCG OPSDC, or higher diver.
Minimum three (3) years of Naval Special Warfare (NSW) experience.
Qualified as a Maintenance and Material Management (3M) Maintenance Person.
Qualified as a 3M Quality Assurance Craftsman.
Qualified as a 3M Work Center Supervisor.
Qualified in accordance with NAVEDTRA 43910-(Series).
Experience maintaining and troubleshooting underwater combat diving systems, underwater propulsion systems, navigation equipment, communications equipment, ROVs, and associated technologies.
Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on Diving Life Support Systems (DLSS) and related support equipment.
Must obtain and maintain factory-trained certifications for underwater navigation, communication, and propulsion systems maintained by NSWG-2.
Must possess and maintain forklift certification up to 6,000-pound capacity.
U.S. citizen
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively
Must accurately input and manage data across systems
Must possess a valid state driver’s license
Must be able to obtain and maintain installation access

Experience developing technical training materials, lesson plans, qualification programs, and maintenance documentation.
Strong organizational, technical writing, inventory management, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on combat diving systems, underwater propulsion systems, underwater navigation systems, communications equipment, ROVs, and associated support equipment.
Develop and write comprehensive curricula and lesson plans for end-user training involving combat diving propulsion, navigation, communications systems, SHIELD SCBA equipment, and remotely operated vehicles.
Deliver technical training and certification programs to Naval Special Warfare personnel and maintain associated training records.
Manage government-approved programs supporting NSWG-2 and WARCOM underwater combat dive technologies.
Provide technical advice and subject matter expertise to engineers, program managers, maintainers, and command leadership regarding system operations, maintenance, testing, evaluation, and modernization efforts.
Maintain accurate inventories and accountability records for combat diving systems, underwater technologies, ROVs, propulsion systems, navigation systems, communications equipment, and associated support equipment.
Verify accountability of equipment issued to NSW personnel and supported commands.
Conduct inspections, inventories, maintenance assessments, and accountability reviews.
Generate maintenance reports, deficiency reports, inventory reports, technical assessments, and recommendations.
Support technology evaluations and provide recommendations on system upgrades, modifications, and future capability development.
Attend meetings, conferences, technology demonstrations, operational events, and training activities supporting combat dive technologies.
Gather, analyze, and report information related to emerging underwater technologies and operational capabilities.
Maintain maintenance records, testing documentation, inventory records, and technical data associated with assigned systems.
Ensure compliance with Navy, Naval Special Warfare, NAVSEA, NOSSA, maintenance management, inventory accountability, and safety requirements.
Maintain familiarity with transportation, storage, safety, and maintenance requirements associated with lithium battery technologies and associated systems.
