About The Position

Assists the Life Stages Director in providing active and passive, group and individual activities that enhance the mental, physical, spiritual and social needs of Residents and that allow Residents to play an active role in society.

Requirements

• Ability to assist in the development and implementation of activities.
• Ability to create interest in the activities and motivate Residents to participate daily.
• Creativity and motivational skills.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and make confident ethical decisions.
• Ability to effectively manage time in order to complete multiple tasks.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
• Requires frequent bending, stretching, stooping and lifting.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• A valid Maryland driver's license is required with no more than two moving violations in a three-year period as determined by insurance industry standards.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in the recreational therapy or related field.
• Gerontology experience.

Responsibilities
