About The Position

NeuroRestorative facility located on Santiago Canyon Road in Orange, CA is seeking a Life Skills Trainer. This is a per-diem position with flexible shift times. The role involves providing training, assistance, and supervision to individuals in a residential setting and an Adult Day Program. The facility is a 6-bed residential setting. On-demand pay is available via Dayforce Wallet.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Valid CA driver’s license
Six months to one year of experience in the human services field
Must be minimum of 21 years of age
Successful clearance of background checks
A caring attitude with a dedication to assisting others
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication skills

Responsibilities

Take basic vitals such as heart rate, temperature and blood pressure.
Provide training, assistance and supervision to individuals receiving care in the areas of living skills, therapeutic recreation, and other forms of assistance in both residential and community settings.
Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, shopping, cleaning, and medication administration.
Prepares or supports individuals to prepare food in accordance with planned menus and individual choice; knows special diets and prepares individual meals accordingly; monitors mealtime and correctly implements any dining plans.
May accompany individuals to medical appointments; relays orders and information to and from medical providers as required.
If assigned, accurately administers and documents delivery of medications and treatments; promptly reports administration errors; maintains appropriate security of controlled medications and other medications and supplies.
Facilitate the working relationships between employers and individuals served, and support community involvement by accompanying them on outings, or providing transportation to work or other activities.
Work closely with our clinical staff to support the therapeutic and behavioral plans in place.
