About The Position
Tree of Life, a Collage Rehabilitation Partner, is a dynamic and growing organization committed to providing exceptional neurological rehabilitation to adults with brain injury. For over 40 years, they have developed programs to meet the diverse needs of clients with moderate to severe traumatic and acquired brain injuries, including treatment for post-concussion syndrome, stroke, memory loss, neurobehavioral issues, and accident or sports-related head injuries. They are searching for Full-Time Direct Support Professionals to work in their residential program located in Richmond, Virginia.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have a valid driver's license and responsible driving behaviors must be maintained
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Must be comfortable working with a variety of medically complicated and behaviorally challenged clients
Responsibilities
- Provide minimum to maximum assistance and/or supervision to promote clients’ success in daily living tasks, recreational activities and vocational pursuits
- Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
- Assist clients with therapies
- Drive and accompany clients to appointments, activities and other outings
