About The Position

The Minikahda Club, founded in 1898, is a premier country club in Minneapolis, MN, focused on providing superior social and recreational experiences. We are in the business of creating fun and memorable experiences. This role is responsible for ensuring the safety of members and guests by preventing accidents in and around the water, and providing care for accident victims.

Requirements

Strong swimming proficiency
Great communication and interpersonal skills.
Must have a thorough understanding of first aid and CPR techniques.
Strong leadership skills to handle emergency situations.
Attention to detail and observation.
Lifeguard certification.
First aid and CPR certified.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma
Previous lifeguard experience and teaching swim lessons is preferred.

Responsibilities

Reinforce pool rules with members and guests.
Answer the lifeguard desk phone and answer any questions members might have.
Make sure members sign in every time they visit including their potential guests.
Provide first aid to any person in need.
Keep lifeguard desk and bathhouse stocked with clean towels.
Tidy up the bathhouses after every lifeguard rotation.
Responsible for opening and closing the pool.
Keep a 20-minute rotation guarding schedule.
Help with swimming lessons.
Ensuring that the pool area is clean and tidy.
Responsible for removal of food waste, cleaning tables, and tidying pool deck area of towels, toys, and debris.
Other duties as needed by the business.
