Requirements

  • Minimum 18 years of age required.
  • Valid Colorado Driver’s License required.
  • Verbally communicate effectively with clients and co-workers.
  • Read and interpret documents such as instructions and safety rules.
  • Read, analyze, and interpret general business practices, Hilltop policies and procedures.
  • Accurately and clearly provide direction to staff and residents.
  • Interpret instructions furnished in a variety of formats including written, oral, diagram, and/or schedule form.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Pass background checks and health clearances including: Criminal Background, CBI Record Check, Sex Offender Registry, Driving Record, Colorado Adult Protective Services Background Check (CAPS), Colorado Department of Regulatory Affairs (DORA) Check, Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) Exclusion List, Tuberculosis (Tb) Skin Test, N95 Mask Fit Test, Influenza Vaccination, and any other required vaccination.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate ethical and professional behavior aligning with Hilltop’s Assisted Living Community (ALC) philosophy, including Service 1 (how we treat each other) and Service 2 (how we treat our residents), by setting boundaries and being predictable, consistent, kind, and transparent.
  • Carry out assigned activities safely and timely, including room setup, activity setup, and tear down.
  • Organize and implement ongoing activities for residents in Memory Care units, providing level-appropriate services and behavior intervention as necessary.
  • Plan and implement various activities for residents, in collaboration with Life Enrichment Managers, that challenge residents' cognitive, social, and physical needs.
  • Actively participate as a member of the Life Enrichment Department, providing input, attending meetings, and evaluating programs.
  • Coordinate hospitality services for new and current residents at The Commons, The Fountains, and The Cottages, including preparing and delivering welcome gifts, sending cards/flowers, coordinating birthday/anniversary celebrations, and arranging memorial services.
  • Facilitate and organize activities in the evenings, weekends, and holidays as requested, managing time to effectively provide enrichment opportunities for multiple residents.
  • Facilitate scheduled fitness classes, adhering to the curriculum set forth by the Life Enrichment Director.
  • Transport residents to various planned outings and/or assist the driver with loading and unloading.
  • Utilize various techniques and tactics to engage residents in daily activities requiring direct and demonstrative communication.
