About The Position
The Waterford of Plano, a premier retirement community in Plano, Texas, provides quality care to residents in an INDEPENDENT LIVING, ASSISTED LIVING, MEMORY CARE community. This role utilizes cutting-edge technology to enhance resident lives and improve job effectiveness, including AI video technology for fall detection, advanced EHR for automated care assessments, Sage for improved call light response, and Microsoft Power BI for data needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or a related field
- Two years activities management experience
Nice To Haves
- certification as an Activity Professional preferred
Responsibilities
- Plans, schedules, and implements activities, for a seven-day week calendar.
- Identifies the special needs of each resident and creates a plan to accommodate those needs.
- Involves the resident in planning recreation objectives and goals for the resident.
- Integrates resident with the community through facility activities and outings.
- Creates a strong positive image and establishes good relationships within the community, which may include press relations, promotional activities, scrapbooks, and displays in the facility.
