About The Position

Three Rivers Care, a Caldera Care facility, is seeking a Life Enrichment Director to plan, direct, and evaluate group and individual leisure activities for residents. Programs should address residents’ physical, social, cultural, spiritual, emotional, and recreational needs and interests. The role includes publishing an activity calendar, providing one-to-one activities according to residents’ care plans, helping with simple nursing tasks during activity outings, and accurately documenting activities for each resident. The position is based at Three Rivers Care in Centralia, Washington. The pay range is $21.00–$26.00 per hour, depending on experience. Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred.

Requirements

Hold a current AP-BC, AAP-BC, or AC-BC credential from the National Association of Activity Professionals Credentialing Center; or a current APC, ADC, or ACC credential from the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals; or have two years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last five years, including one year of full-time work in a therapeutic activities program.
Have a positive, friendly, and outgoing personality.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Have basic computer skills.
Have a food handler’s permit; the employer may sponsor a candidate who does not have one.

Responsibilities

Plan, direct, and evaluate group and individual leisure activity programs that meet residents’ physical, social, cultural, spiritual, emotional, and recreational needs and interests.
Create and publish a planned activity calendar for residents.
Assist with simple nursing tasks during activity outings, such as lifting, transferring, and feeding.
Participate in one-to-one activities with residents according to their care plans.
Accurately log and chart activities for each resident.
