This role involves assisting the Director of Life Enrichment (DLE) in planning, coordinating, and running community activities. The coordinator will help create the monthly activities calendar and newsletter, encourage resident participation, and support resident independence. Responsibilities include ordering supplies, potentially attending off-site outings, tracking resident participation, and assisting with the community's Parallel Programming schedule. The role also requires maintaining resident privacy, potentially driving residents to activities, and ensuring a safe and alert work environment. Associates must take ownership of safety for themselves and residents and disclose any medications that might impair their ability to perform duties safely. Sundays are part of the work schedule. Non-essential functions include leading by example with CORE values, demonstrating a passion for working with senior citizens, encouraging teamwork, attending meetings, completing required courses, being prompt and reliable, understanding the Safe Return program, and contributing to a safe and secure environment for all residents.
