About The Position

We are looking for a Life Enrichment Coordinator to join the Ebenezer Team at Jones-Harrison in Minneapolis, MN. The Life Enrichment Coordinator will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and coordinate goal-oriented and therapeutic programs for all senior/adult residents. In addition, the role serves as a resource person for independent leisure pursuits. Enables residents to achieve an optimal level of intellectual, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual potential. This position is full-time, 80 hours every 2 weeks, with a day shift schedule. Jones-Harrison Senior Living, celebrating 135 years of service, is located in Minneapolis with a beautiful view of Cedar Lake and pristine grounds. Requirements

  • Associate of Science in Therapeutic Recreation, Music Therapy or related field
  • less than 1 year of experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation, Music Therapy or related field
  • 1 year of experience
  • CTRS, MT-BC

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and conduct programs pertinent to the interests and needs of the individual resident
  • Initiates and takes responsibility for structured and unstructured programs in the areas of intellectual, social, emotional, physical, cultural, intergenerational, educational, creative, and spiritual stimulation
  • Programs are planned and discussed with team at least one month prior to implementation
  • Thoroughly recruits residents and conducts programs as scheduled
  • Arranges all necessary program responsibilities and supplies on a timely basis
  • Evaluates the therapeutic value of group programs and outings regularly and timely when requested by Director
  • Plans and implements community outings and special events
  • Takes responsibility for notifying residents of upcoming opportunities
  • Actively involves self in the continued growth of the 1:1 programming
  • Works in cooperation with Chaplain or local clergy
  • Maintains compliance with state and federal regulations regarding medical record documentation and participation
  • Ability to complete MDS, Assessments, Care Plans, and Progress notes
  • Complete and update attendance/participation records
  • Gathers information from other team members as it relates to resident’s progress
  • Attends and participates in IDT and resident care conferences
