About The Position

We are looking for a Life Enrichment Coordinator to join the Ebenezer Team at Jones-Harrison in Minneapolis, MN. The Life Enrichment Coordinator will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and coordinate goal-oriented and therapeutic programs for all senior/adult residents. In addition, the role serves as a resource person for independent leisure pursuits. Enables residents to achieve an optimal level of intellectual, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual potential. This position is full-time, 80 hours every 2 weeks, with a day shift schedule. Requirements

Associate of Science in Therapeutic Recreation, Music Therapy or related field
less than 1 year of experience

Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation, Music Therapy or related field
1 year of experience
CTRS, MT-BC

Responsibilities

Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and conduct programs pertinent to the interests and needs of the individual resident
Initiates and takes responsibility for structured and unstructured programs in the areas of intellectual, social, emotional, physical, cultural, intergenerational, educational, creative, and spiritual stimulation
Programs are planned and discussed with team at least one month prior to implementation
Thoroughly recruits residents and conducts programs as scheduled
Arranges all necessary program responsibilities and supplies on a timely basis
Evaluates the therapeutic value of group programs and outings regularly and timely when requested by Director
Plans and implements community outings and special events
Takes responsibility for notifying residents of upcoming opportunities
Actively involves self in the continued growth of the 1:1 programming
Works in cooperation with Chaplain or local clergy
Maintains compliance with state and federal regulations regarding medical record documentation and participation
Ability to complete MDS, Assessments, Care Plans, and Progress notes
Complete and update attendance/participation records
Gathers information from other team members as it relates to resident’s progress
Attends and participates in IDT and resident care conferences
