About The Position

The Life Enrichment Coordinator plans and coordinates programs that foster a vibrant, engaging life for independent and assisted living residents at North Star Retirement Community in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. The role identifies residents’ program preferences, talents, and needs through feedback, new-resident orientation, and communication with families. It also plans regular activities that support residents’ social, physical, emotional, and psychological needs, and helps develop programs and events that introduce prospective residents to community life.

Requirements

• A love for seniors.
• Highly organized, with strong time-management skills.
• Energetic, engaging, and caring personality.
• Ability to connect with people.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of activity programming experience.
• One or more years of leadership experience; senior living experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine residents’ program preferences, talents, and needs through resident feedback, new-resident orientation, and communication with resident families.
• Plan daily and weekly programs to engage residents and address their social, physical, emotional, and psychological needs.
• Assist in planning programs and events that encourage prospective residents to participate in community life and experience the value and benefits of the community.
