A Life Enrichment Associate enhances residents’ quality of life by leading engaging activities that support social connection, mental stimulation, and emotional well-being. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • The ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; basic computer-related skills and the ability to learn how to operate office and audio-video equipment.
  • Previous activity experience in a Skilled Nursing or Assisted Living facility.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the development of written assessments, care plans, and documents progress with each resident
  • Assist with the development of the monthly calendar, ensuring it includes daily evening, holiday, and weekend events and activities.
  • Assists with planning the programs including educational, entertainment, spiritual, and physical activities, and programs.
  • Posts activity reminders to encourage participation.
  • Decorates designated areas for special events and parties and provides necessary assistance to residents, helps with preparation and clean up for such events.
  • Assists in coordinating transportation of residents to outside programs, events, or medical appointments.
  • Maintains a variety of stimulating activities and supplies for residents who choose and/or can perform activities independently.
  • Effectively manages problems with difficult or disturbed residents, family, or sponsor/surrogate.
