About The Position

Homestead Village, a non-profit Life Plan Community near downtown Lancaster, is seeking two enthusiastic and passionate Life Enrichment Aides. These roles will focus on enhancing residents' social, physical, emotional, and spiritual needs within the Apostle Center for Care's Skilled Nursing Unit.

Requirements

Enthusiastic and passionate demeanor.
Willingness to assist with resident dining, care, and activities.
Ability to encourage resident participation.
Ability to document activities.
Must be able to work the specified part-time schedules, including every other weekend/holiday.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a Life Plan Community or Skilled Nursing Unit.
Experience developing and conducting life enrichment activities.

Responsibilities

Participates in resident dining at mealtimes, including handing out menus, taking orders, serving meals, assisting residents with dining needs, and cleaning the kitchen area.
Assists with answering resident call bells and performs various tasks to promote quality resident care.
Develops and conducts appropriate activities for residents, including scheduled and impromptu life enrichment activities (formal and informal), with assistance from the Life Enrichment Coordinator.
Assists with parties and special events for staff and residents.
Assists with procuring materials and services for the activities program.
Encourages resident participation in activities.
Projects a positive and enthusiastic demeanor during activity programming.
Conducts one-on-one, small group, and large group programming with residents.
Documents activities on resident charts to meet State requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.
