About The Position

Aliviane Inc. is seeking a Life Enrichment Aide to support residents in its substance use treatment program. The role requires insight into behavioral sciences and training in client care. The aide supervises clients’ self-administration of medication, monitors compliance with program rules, provides transportation and crisis interventions, and supports clinical staff and facility operations. The position calls for a basic concern for quality of care, professional and empathetic relationships with residents, belief in human potential for growth, and the ability to coordinate and work cooperatively with others. The aide helps ensure the safety of residents and security of the building during the shift, assists with group activities, documents medication and group activity as required, and remains awake and watchful throughout the shift. The role also includes conducting periodic client checks, helping clients prepare for the day, and maintaining reliable attendance and punctuality.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED certification.
One year of experience in a drug abuse treatment setting.
Computer proficiency, including knowledge of a word-processing program and a spreadsheet program.
Any combination of education and experience that can be demonstrated to be applicable to the listed duties.

Responsibilities

Provide operational support to residents in the facility and client-support to clinical staff.
Coordinate with other shift personnel to support smooth facility operations and ensure resident safety and building security.
Monitor clients’ self-administration of medications and accurately document each transaction.
Follow medical staff orders regarding client medication.
Provide trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and conflict resolution as needed.
Report problems to the supervisor.
Assist staff in delivering services and facilitate assigned group activities, such as life skills, exercise, and sports; document groups as directed and within regulatory time frames.
Remain awake and watchful throughout the shift.
Conduct periodic client checks during daytime hours and while clients are sleeping, using the client roster checklist to verify whereabouts.
Wake clients at appropriate times and ensure they are dressed, have eaten, and completed cleanup and other duties.
Provide transportation services to participants or as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Maintain good work habits through punctuality and low absenteeism.
