About The Position

Acts is seeking a Life Engagement Assistant to work in its skilled nursing neighborhood. The role assists the Life Engagement Coordinator with planning and implementing programs and events that provide residents with the Acts Signature Experience (ASE), incorporating wellness, person-centered living, and hospitality. Programs address body, mind, and spirit to support quality of life and provide meaningful engagement for residents with differing cognitive and functional levels. Programming follows the Acts engagement philosophy, uses Montessori principles to empower and engage residents, and is informed by each resident’s personal history and preferences as expressed in My Story.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of activities or recreation experience.
• Dementia engagement certification, or willingness to obtain it within one year of employment.
• Current CPR certification or eligibility for certification.
• Compliance with Florida's Care Provider Background Screening process.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Life Engagement Coordinator in planning and implementing programs and events.
• Support ASE programs incorporating wellness, person-centered living, and hospitality.
• Help ensure residents with differing cognitive and functional levels have opportunities for meaningful engagement consistent with the Acts engagement philosophy.
• Support programs informed by Montessori principles and residents’ personal histories and preferences as expressed in My Story.
