About The Position

The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) department is seeking a Life Cycle Systems Engineer I to join our team onsite in Woburn, MA. As a Life Cycle Systems Engineer I, you will work under guidance from senior engineers, supporting logistics, sustainment, reliability, maintainability, and supportability activities across multiple product lines. Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) ensures our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable, and delivered on time. Our team supports the entire product lifecycle, from conception to deactivation, with a focus on product support disciplines, including Reliability, System Safety, and Supportability. Your contributions will directly impact the success of critical missions and our customers’ ability to achieve their objectives.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience reading and understanding engineering drawings and technical data.
  • Experience with engineering principles, troubleshooting methodologies, and/or root‑cause analysis.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.​
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with defense logistics, maintenance, and supportability frameworks (ILS, RAM, DoD/DFARS, MIL‑STD/MIL‑PRF).
  • Exposure to CAD, engineering modeling tools, databases, or data‑visualization software.
  • Understanding of system life‑cycle phases (design, integration, test, sustainment).
  • Experience with aerospace, radar, or military hardware sustainment projects (academic or internship experience).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe tools.

Responsibilities

  • Support senior engineers in planning and conducting fundamental engineering studies, analyses, and investigations.
  • Develop, review, and organize technical data elements, including provisioning lists, spares recommendations, logistics product data, failure trends, and training materials.
  • Assist in tracking hardware through production and repair pipelines; help evaluate spare‑part requirements to ensure system readiness.
  • Compile and verify engineering changes within life‑cycle management databases to maintain accurate configuration and logistics impacts.
  • Support the development and implementation of internal or commercial tools for data tracking, reporting, and monitoring.
  • Review engineering drawings and 3D models to support basic Logistics Support Analysis and data product development.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to contribute to system sustainment and total life cycle support.
