About The Position

This Life Actuary Intern position offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into the insurance industry and explore various career paths within a company that values faith, family, community, and integrity. Requirements
- Rising Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Graduate in a 4-year university
- Actuarial Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Business/Econ, Engineering major
- Proficiency in R, Python, Excel, SQL
- Good communication skills
- Team player
Nice To Haves
- Actuarial exams helpful but not required
Responsibilities
- Support Alfa's life product pricing, design, and profitability analysis, including assumptions review and sources of earning analysis.
- Support actuarial reserve valuation and financial reporting for Alfa's life and annuity products.
- Review and analyze industry white papers, peer-company benchmarking data, and competitive survey data.
- Present findings to actuarial, underwriting, and/or analytics staff.
