The Lieutenant Supervisor - Police Officer role is a full-time position with day shifts (6am - 6pm) at Arnett Hospital, supporting the Public Safety department. This role provides direction and guidance to team members, guests, and patients, while also counseling, coaching, and evaluating subordinate personnel. The position involves assisting teams with de-escalation, crime prevention, and creating a safe healthcare environment. The Lieutenant Supervisor serves as the shift commander, supervising sergeants, police officers, and Public Safety Officers, issuing work assignments, and approving work schedules to ensure proper coverage. Responsibilities include conducting patrols, responding to calls for service, investigating incidents, enforcing policies and statutes, maintaining records, and performing physical security screenings. The role also involves assisting other public safety agencies, assuming on-scene command of critical incidents, and acting as the senior departmental officer in the absence of higher-ranking officers. Other duties may be assigned by the chain of command.
