Forsite is actively looking for a LiDAR Sensor Operator to join our Flight Team. Requirements

  • No prior Experience Required; great for recent high school or college graduates.
  • Must have the ability to work anywhere in the US and speak English fluently
  • This role requires continuous Drug and Alcohol screening
  • Ability to pass a background check

Nice To Haves

  • Pilot's license is a Major Plus, with opportunity to move to Captain over time.
  • Experience working with LIDAR and imagery sensors is a major plus.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with pilots ensuring camera and LIDAR properly turn on, running pre-flight testing, monitoring progress during flight, noting images/areas that are rejected for re-flight, loading flight lines into tablet for pilot, monitoring pilot for deviations, ensuring post flight that camera properly shuts down, offloading data and transmitting once at hotel for processing, determining which lines were flown and preparing next set of lines for next mission.
  • Interface with camera manufacturer for any minor repairs/trouble shooting
  • Submit detailed daily reports on progress
  • Must be comfortable and proficient using a computer
  • Must be comfortable spending many hours in a single-engine propeller aircraft.
  • Candidates must be able to work comfortably in a small aircraft, including climbing in and out safely, remaining seated for extended periods, and tolerating motion, heights, and turbulence.
