About The Position

This critical role helps obtain licensing for medical professionals to meet our client needs. The Licensing Specialist will manage work to tight deadlines, while maintaining both speed and accuracy. They will gather data and conduct on-line research of required information for medical professionals applying for new state licenses. The role requires maintaining excellent relationships with licensing boards and ensuring that details involved in completing licensure are accomplished according to team guidelines in an efficient, proactive manner. The specialist will provide excellent customer service via verbal and written correspondence, provide backup to all members of the team as necessary, and provide consistent and thorough updates on the licensing process to medical professionals and internal sales teams. Work will be prioritized using an internal software application, and all activities will be recorded with complete and accurate records. Non-essential duties include assisting with special projects and performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a high school diploma.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn proprietary software.
  • Ability and willingness to cover interim staffing gaps.
  • Willingness to expand working knowledge of the locum tenens business and stay informed about market and competitive issues through research and professional networking.
  • Willingness to take classes and participate in learning opportunities, both within and outside the company.
  • Ability to seek opportunities for different and innovative approaches to addressing problems and opportunities.
  • Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service preferred.
