This role involves processing professional license applications, renewals, and license status changes. New hires work under close supervision until fully trained. Expect to work with applicants/licensees, Licensing Division staff, a Licensing Analyst Supervisor, and the general public. A typical day would include processing a queue of applications and requests - verifying documents, following up on pending applications, and answering applicant questions by phone or email. Any unusual issues (flagged history, inconsistent records) get documented and routed to a supervisor. The mission of this role is to serve and protect the public interest in real estate transactions and other real estate-related activities by maintaining open government, providing fair and equitable administration and enforcement of the Louisiana Real Estate License Law and Commission Rules and Regulations, and through the development of progressive education programs that promote knowledge, ethics, and advancement of the real estate industry.
