About The Position

The Licensee Operations Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of smaller North American licensees, driving operational excellence and revenue performance across the portfolio. This is an internal development role designed for high-performing Airport Operations Managers or Territory Performance Managers seeking to build breadth in licensee relationship management, commercial performance, and cross-functional operational leadership.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Wizard and WaND systems (prerequisite for this role).
  • Demonstrated experience in rate setting and car class availability management.
  • Familiarity with Station Manager Weekly Reports (SMWR).
  • Working knowledge of the Damage Maintenance Portal (DMP).
  • Experience with Medallia and/or NPS monitoring tools.
  • Experience with Wand ID, Wizard RACF ID and other system administration/creation.
  • Minimum of 3 years' internal Avis Budget Group experience
  • Knowledgeable in MS Office; experience with Tableau and Salesforce advantageous.
  • Operational Systems Expertise — strong working knowledge of Wizard, WaND, and related operational platforms.
  • Relationship & Communication Skills — ability to build and sustain effective working relationships with external licensee partners at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of smaller North American Avis, Budget, and Payless licensees, serving as the primary operational point of contact.
  • Manage and improve licensee operational and revenue performance across the assigned portfolio.
  • Drive growth and market expansion within the portfolio, including onboarding of new licensee operators.
  • Open and close locations across the portfolio, expanding licensee footprint across North America and adhering to contracting and due diligence processes.
  • Conduct regular calls with licensee partners and undertake periodic on-site visits to maintain strong operational relationships.
  • Communicate performance trends, risks, and recommendations to the Director, Licensee Operations & Business Development on a regular basis.
  • Work closely with local field Operations, Customer Service, and Process teams to resolve customer issues and licensee partner requests.
  • Ensure licensee adherence to customer service standards and ABG company policies.
  • Monitor Medallia/NPS results and work with licensees to address service quality trends.
  • Support and implement key IT projects across your portfolio.
  • Support rate setting and car class availability management for licensees.
  • Complete Wizard and WaND ID and location set-ups for licensee stations.
  • Deliver Wizard and WaND system training to licensee staff as required.
  • Support licensees knowledge with Station Manager Weekly Reports (SMWR) to monitor licensee operational performance.
  • Use the Damage Maintenance Portal (DMP) to manage and track damage claims.
  • Provide support on F68 processes and accounting-related licensee queries.
  • Submit and track IT requests through Service Now on behalf of licensees and the internal team.
  • Triage and manage the department's shared mailbox, ensuring timely routing and resolution of licensee requests.
  • Maintain and update content on The Junction intranet as relevant to the licensee portfolio.
  • As required, perform research on billing, system issues, vendor information, roadside incidents, and vehicle recovery.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
