The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is a patient care provider who performs a variety of nursing functions. The LVN closely assesses patients for changes in medical or nursing status under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse and Medical Director. The LVN provides care for adults with varying degrees of acquired brain injury (ABI), who may or may not have sustained other injuries. The LVN is responsible for supervision and documentation of the patients' medical/nursing needs until discharge. This includes observing and documenting patients' behavior, modeling appropriate behavior, interacting with patients, providing training to staff, ensuring patient safety, and reinforcing treatment plans and Moody Neuro policies. The LVN will uphold the mission, philosophy, and goals of the organization while maintaining strict confidentiality of personnel and client data and information.
