About The Position

The Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Psychiatric Technician provides direct and indirect patient care services requiring technical and manual skills within the scope of practice. The role addresses patients’ psychosocial, physical, and general care needs and supports communication with patients and families. The nurse works under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. In the emergency room setting, the role requires knowledge of EMTALA regulations and the triage process.

Requirements

• Current and valid state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Psychiatric Technician.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Nice To Haves

• IV certification upon hire preferred.
• Minimum one year of experience in an applicable setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care within the scope of practice.
• Address patients’ psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care.
• Meet the communication needs of patients and their families.
• Work under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
