About The Position
Cambrian Homecare is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide one-on-one skilled care to children of all ages who have developmental disabilities. We offer flexible scheduling, weekly pay, opportunities for growth, employee recognition, and a supportive office team available 24/7. Requirements
- Active CA. LVN License
- Must have 1+ year of professional experience as a licensed vocational nurse
- CPR certification
- Physical within the last 6 months and recent TB test
- Current TB test, current physical, Valid CPR card and First Aide
- Clear criminal background
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Trach Care
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 respite care for families of a child or adult with developmental disabilities
- Gastronomy Tube (g-tube) Care and Feeding
- Take vital signs and administer medication
- Trach Care (very rarely, do not need to have experience in this)
- Check blood sugar and administer insulin injection
- Seizure Management – may need to give medication if ordered and ensure safety
- Document on nursing notes every visit
- Be a support to clients and their family members
- Monitor and report changes in client care and/or behavior
