About The Position

The Cardiovascular Services Clinic is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join their team. This full-time position involves working Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with 50% travel to surrounding clinics in Arlington and Alliance (Keller) as needed. Mileage reimbursement is provided. The clinic offers an opportunity to strengthen skills by working with Providers and Staff in a rewarding, educational environment. Requirements

  • LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse Upon Hire (required)
  • Accredited School of Practical Nursing Program (required)
  • ACLS or BCLS (required upon hire)
  • Knowledge of basic nursing processes and understanding of healthcare technology, equipment, and supplies
  • Knowledge of state law on nursing care, nurse practice guidelines, and clinic policies and procedures
  • Ability to effectively communicate to staff and patients
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and composure
  • Ability to take appropriate action in questionable or emergency situations
  • Maintain a positive, caring attitude towards staff and patients
  • Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism
  • Efficient time management skills

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year LVN experience (strongly preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the LVN Process.
  • Triage patient calls and communicates with the provider.
  • Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive care provided to selected patient populations and their families.
  • Performs specific nursing care as it relates to specialty of cardiology.
  • Collects patient data such as vital signs, notes how the patient looks and acts or responds to stimuli and reports this information accordingly.
  • Prepares patient records and files using established medical record forms/automated systems and documentation practices.
  • Administers certain prescribed medications and monitors and documents treatment progress and patient response.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
