About The Position

Rite of Passage is hiring a part-time Licensed Vocational Nurse at San Pasqual Academy in Escondido, California. The site LVN is primarily responsible for the health care of students, maintaining student medical files, and educating staff and students on health issues, first aid, infection control, and emergency procedures. San Pasqual Academy is a residential campus on 238 acres in rural San Pasqual Valley, with classrooms, an auditorium, a gym, a cafeteria, and sports and recreation activities. Residential staff and house parents mentor and tutor students, teach independent living and family living skills, encourage sports and recreation, and help students explore interests and career opportunities. The schedule is four days per week, totaling 29 hours per week. Pay starts at $45 per hour, with a $3,000 longevity bonus. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Current Licensed Vocational Nurse credential for the state of California.
Two years of previous medical services administration, including demonstrated experience operating and securing comprehensive health services programs.
One year of experience in a mental health setting.
At least 21 years of age.
Pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
Pass a search of the child abuse central registry.
