About The Position
PAM Health is hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide nursing care on a hospital nursing unit under the direction of an RN. The role involves gathering and reporting patient data, carrying out orders, and performing therapeutic procedures in an age- and population-appropriate manner consistent with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines. Requirements
- Hold current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if the state participates.
- Current BLS certification is required; certification must be AHA-approved within 90 days of employment.
- Current IV certification within 90 days of employment if required by state regulations.
Nice To Haves
- One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide appropriate nursing care as directed by an RN on the nursing unit.
- Gather and report data.
- Carry out orders.
- Perform therapeutic procedures on patients in an age- and population-appropriate manner, consistent with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
