NOC shift LVN at small SNF (Skilled Nursing Facility)
About The Position
Meadowbrook Village Christian Retirement Community is a non-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community in Escondido offering independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing services. Its 19-bed skilled nursing facility opened in 2017. The LVN provides personalized care for residents experiencing a temporary setback or terminal diagnosis, combining accurate medical care with positive personal interactions. The LVN ensures high-quality resident care in accordance with federal, state, and company regulations and policies. The role includes directing and documenting nursing duties, monitoring and reviewing care plans and procedures, and reporting to the Director of Nursing. This is a full-time NOC shift position, scheduled from 7 PM to 7 AM.
Requirements
- Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the State of California.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in long-term care.
- Excellent interpersonal and nursing assessment skills.
- Ability to organize and direct nursing care.
- Ability to maintain appropriate confidentiality and privacy.
- Ability to monitor and oversee the work of others.
- Willingness and ability to respond effectively to emergency and crisis situations.
Responsibilities
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, clients, and guests.
- Perform charge nurse duties and serve as the senior manager on campus.
- Ensure regulatory compliance.
- Deliver resident care.
- Manage documentation, medications, and treatments.
- Participate in professional development.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Direct and document nursing duties.
- Monitor and review care plans and procedures.
- Lead by positive example.
- Respond effectively to emergency and crisis situations.
