NOC shift LVN at small SNF (Skilled Nursing Facility)

About The Position

Meadowbrook Village Christian Retirement Community is a nonprofit Continuing Care Retirement Community in Escondido offering independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing services. Its 19-bed skilled nursing facility opened in 2017. The organization’s mission is to honor God by serving others with love and compassion. The Licensed Vocational Nurse provides personalized care to skilled nursing residents, including people experiencing temporary setbacks or terminal diagnoses. Working with CNAs and RNs, the LVN supports accurate medical care and enriching personal interactions. The role ensures high-quality resident care in accordance with federal, state, and company regulations and policies. The LVN directs and documents nursing duties, monitors and reviews care plans and procedures, reports to the Director of Nursing, and leads by positive example. This is a full-time NOC shift position, from 7 PM to 7 AM.

Requirements

Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the State of California.
At least 2 years of professional experience in long-term care.
Excellent interpersonal and nursing assessment skills.
Ability to organize and direct nursing care.
Ability to maintain appropriate confidentiality and privacy.
Ability to monitor and oversee the work of others.
Willingness and ability to respond effectively to emergency and/or crisis situations.

Responsibilities

Build positive relationships with residents, families, clients, and guests (estimated 10% of time).
Perform charge nurse duties and serve as senior manager on campus (20%).
Ensure regulatory compliance (10%).
Deliver resident care (15%).
Manage documentation, medications, and treatments (35%).
Participate in professional development (5%).
Perform other duties as assigned (5%).
