About The Position

This role is for a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the Family Medicine department at Ascension Medical Group Seton Primary Care - Bar W Leander in Georgetown, Texas. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The nurse will deliver compassionate patient care under the direction of a registered nurse or physician, contributing to patient assessments for safety, comfort, and well-being. Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments safely, monitoring for adverse reactions, triaging and coordinating patient care using the nursing process, documenting patient care accurately in real-time, and educating patients and families on treatment plans and self-care.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
LVN License

Drivers License preferred.
Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate patient care under the direction of a registered nurse or physician, actively contributing to patient assessments to ensure their ongoing safety, comfort, and well-being.
Administer medications and treatments safely, while closely monitoring patients for any adverse reactions to ensure the highest standards of clinical safety.
Triage and coordinate patient care by utilizing the nursing process to facilitate swift interventions, delegate routine clinic tasks, and collaborate with non-medical staff to optimize patient flow and satisfaction.
Document patient care journeys accurately and in real-time, ensuring thorough records, reporting critical abnormal data immediately, and managing patient referrals to guarantee continuity of care.
Educate patients and families on their specific disease treatment plans, holistic health needs, and post-discharge self-care to empower them in their recovery journey.
