About The Position
The Maples is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse for night shifts to join their team at The Maples Clinic in Fort Worth, Texas. The Maples is a growing network of physician-driven psychiatric practices with over 25 years of management experience in the behavioral health industry. They manage administrative responsibilities, allowing practices to maintain clinical autonomy and focus on patient care. The Maples serves practices across Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Texas, offering access to a network of over 400 staff members, including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurse practitioners, and therapists. An experienced physician advisory board provides a supportive community for developing best practices and sharing insights.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Must have active Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 1 year experience as an LVN
- Certification in Basic Life Support
- Certification in non-violent crisis intervention
Nice To Haves
- experience in behavioral health care preferred
Responsibilities
- Participates in the planning, coordinating, and documenting of total patient care in conjunction with the multidisciplinary treatment team
- Accurately reports and records the client’s condition and care, including signs and symptoms which may be indicative of change
- Accurately monitor skin assessments with proper documentation and reporting of changes
- Completes, maintains, and documents accurate and relevant clinical notes
- Ensures timely and accurate clinical documentation for all nursing clinical services provided
- Participation in education, in-services, and other training and meetings as needed
- Facilitates appropriate nursing action(s) in response to administrative directives and a changing healthcare environment
- Ensures all MD orders are followed and documented accordingly during the assigned shift
- Manages medication administration, monitoring, and proper storage of medication and complies with all medication management policies and procedures
