Licensed Vocational Nurse (School Based)
About The Position
Candor Consulting is hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a student with complex medical needs in a school setting. This is a great fit for an LVN who enjoys pediatric care, values consistency, and wants a predictable school-day schedule. The role involves providing 1:1 nursing support during the school day, administering medications and prescribed treatments, providing G-tube care and feedings, following seizure precautions and emergency protocols, providing respiratory treatments and oxygen support as ordered, monitoring vital signs and changes in condition, assisting with personal care, mobility, and activities of daily living, providing wheelchair support and possible transportation/bus coverage, and completing nursing documentation and communicating with the care team.
Requirements
- Current Texas LVN license
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong attention to detail and clinical judgment
- Dependable and comfortable working independently in a 1:1 setting
Nice To Haves
- Pediatric, private-duty, school nursing, G-tube, seizure, or respiratory experience
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 nursing support during the school day
