About The Position

This is a full-time Licensed Vocational Nurse position in Adult Care, working 40 hours weekly, Monday – Thursday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Friday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. The office is located at 2100 Hedgecoxe Rd Ste 100, Plano TX 75025. This role offers a large office environment with physicians, APPs, and staff that work well together, opportunities for additional training and career growth, and an office that closes at 2:00 p.m. on Fridays to promote work/life balance.

Requirements

• Accredited school of practical nursing program (Required)
• LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse (Required)
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Required) Or BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience (Preferred)
• Previous Internal Medicine, Primary Care or Family Practice experience (Strongly Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Perform basic nursing care for patients by following established standards and procedures. May perform specific nursing care as it relates to specialty of the practice.
• Collect patient data such as vital signs, note how the patient looks and acts or responds to stimuli and report this information accordingly.
• Prepare and administer injections, perform routine tests, treat wounds and change bandages.
• Prepare patient records and files using established medical record forms/automated systems and documentation practices.
• Administer certain prescribed medications and monitor and document treatment progress and patient response.
• Participate in the implementation and evaluation of patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations.
• Monitor and document treatment progress and patient response.
• Convey information to patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
• Participate in teams to improve patient care processes and outcomes.
