About The Position
NaphCare is hiring Licensed Vocational Nurses or Licensed Practical Nurses (LVNs or LPNs) for the Imperial County Detention Center in El Centro, CA. This PRN position allows you to utilize your skills in a correctional healthcare setting. Nice To Haves
- Correctional healthcare experience
- Willingness to cross-train in roles such as medication pass nurse, detox nurse, and sick call nurse
Responsibilities
- Take and document all patient history and vital signs
- Assist with daily triage/sick call, minor medical surgical procedures and examinations and/or treatments
- Administer medications
- Perform venipuncture and I.V. therapy
- Collect samples, specimens and cultures
- Transcribe therapeutic orders
