About The Position

BrightStar Care of Edinburg is seeking compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to provide one-to-one patient care in a home or school setting within the Cameron County Area, including locations like Los Fresnos, Brownsville, San Benito, Harlingen, and La Feria. The role involves executing physicians’ prescribed plans of care, accurately documenting care in an electronic system, administering medications, treatments, and therapies, and providing health education to patients and their families.

Requirements

• Active LVN license in good standing in the State of Texas
• Current accredited CPR certification
• Current TB test
• Competent and confident in performing wound care management
• Competent and confident in performing Wound VAC therapy
• Competent and confident in performing IV antibiotic administration (IV ABXs)
• Competent and confident in performing Foley catheter insertion and care
• Competent and confident in performing lab draws (venipuncture)
• Competent and confident in performing ostomy care
• Competent and confident in performing medication administration
• Competent and confident in care of adult and pediatric patients
• Availability for Monday–Friday schedule with on-call rotation
