About The Position

At NorthBay Health, the Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is responsible for the delivery of direct patient care of assigned patients under the supervision of the registered nurse. The LVN, utilizing Jean Watson’s Nursing Theory of Caring and the Relationship Based Care Model, practices basic assessment (data collection), participates in planning, executes interventions in accordance with the care plan or treatment plan, and contributes to evaluation of individualized interventions related to the care plan or treatment plan in accordance with the functional and developmental needs of each patient.
