About The Position
Crestwood is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) to join their team. This role involves providing direct nursing care to clients in a behavioral health setting, focusing on recovery and personal growth. The position is within Crestwood's Crisis Stabilization Unit, which offers a calm and compassionate environment for assessment, stabilization services, medication management, and linkages to mental health services for children, adolescents, and adults in crisis.
Requirements
- Current licensure in California as an LVN or LPT.
- Knowledge of general nursing theory and practice.
- Ability to supervise.
- Ability to work cooperatively with other staff members.
- Current CPR and first aid certifications.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in mental health nursing preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct nursing care to clients according to physicians’ orders and applicable client care standards, within their scope of practice.
- Provides direction to non-licensed personnel in providing direct client care and operating the unit.
