We invite you to partner with us in our mission to improve mental healthcare. The LVN/LPT provides direct client care including medications. Maintains vigilance over the general milieu within the facility to facilitate quality client care, optimum facility operations and preserve the safety of all therein. Visually and audibly observes, documents in writing and reports orally or in writing the physical or mental condition of patients to the Registered Nurse in charge of the facility on the shift and the attending physician. Orders, prepares, administers and documents the administration of medication for clients according to physician’s orders. Confirms delivery of all ordered medication(s) from pharmacy on shift worked. Responsible for writing summary on clients as assigned. Makes written or oral shift assignments and plans, organizes and directs the nursing activities of the unit (when needed and assigned) to assure quality care delivery. The 24/7 outpatient program provides rapid mental health assessment, crisis intervention, and medication support. Walk-ins are welcome, and clients may stay up to 24 hours. The BHUCC is equipped to serve 12 adults (ages 18 and up) and 6 adolescents (ages 13 to 17).
