The hospital also features a 24-hour emergency department, designated as a Level IV trauma center and acute stroke ready facility with advanced diagnostic technology, a cardiac rehabilitation program, GI lab, outpatient clinics and a sleep lab.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse program
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical/hospital setting
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a nursing leadership/management position
- Current LVN/LPN licensure in the State of Texas
- At least one (1) year LVN/LPN experience in a clinic environment
- Must possess and maintain a current LVN license to practice in Texas
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
Nice To Haves
- Five (5) years of LVN/LPN experience
- At least two (2) years of LVN/LPN experience as a charge nurse or supervisor
Responsibilities
- Charge Nurse assumes the responsibility for the human and fiscal resources available in order to provide quality, cost-effective patient centered care.
- The Charge Nurse will possess and have the capabilities to perform all the major duties and critical tasks of a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
- The Charge Nurse will demonstrate honesty, integrity, respectfulness, discretion, responsibility and dependability.
