About The Position
The Anesthesiology department at Harlingen Medical Center is seeking a full-time Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for day shifts. This role involves managing anesthesia supplies, ensuring carts are adequately stocked in all operating rooms, and assisting with various anesthesia procedures. Experience as an LVN in the Operating Room (OR) is highly encouraged.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Licensed Vocational Nurse for 1 year
- Current BLS (AHA) Certificate

Responsibilities
- Ordering and stocking of all anesthesia supplies
- Rotating and checking supplies for expiration
- Maintaining a tidy and properly ordered anesthesia storage area
- Ensuring all anesthesia carts are stocked adequately in all O.R. rooms, including O.B.
- Assisting with induction, blocks, epidural, and spinal anesthesia as needed
